What's better than a chocolate chip cookie? They are an old favorite. I have been using this recipe for a long time and they always turn out delicious. I loooooove dark chocolate so I always end up using dark chocolate chips but they will turn out delicious no matter what kind of chocolate you use.
Every once in a while I like to switch things up and add oatmeal. Always delish.

You will need:

1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup (two sticks) butter, softened
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups flour
1 bag (12 oz) chocolate chips
*optional 1 cup oatmeal

Instructions:
Preheat oven 375F.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together sugar, brown sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla for 2 minutes. Scrape bowl as needed.
Next add dry ingredients, slowly. Flour, soda, salt. Mix for 2 minutes on low. Add chocolate chips and mix for 20 more seconds.

Drop heaping, rounded tablespoons onto a cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until desired doneness.
I prefer mine on the crunchy side and my husband likes them undercooked...It's HIS and HER cookies around here.
Enjoy!
