How can you go wrong with cream cheese frosting? It's good on everything! Cake, muffins, cinnamons rolls or straight out of the bowl with a spoon! (Let's be honest. Haha!)
You will need:
8 oz cold cream cheese
5 Tablespoons softened butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar
Whip cold cream cheese in Kitchen Aid Mixer with whisk attachment, for a minute or so, on high.
Add softened butter and whip for another minute on high.
Add vanilla and keep whipping.
Turn mixer down to lowest setting and slowly add the powdered sugar in small increments until all combined and you have reached your desired level of sweetness and consistency (add more or less powdered sugar)
Slap that stuff right onto a cupcake or take your time and spoon into a piping bag to decorate your cake. Either way, ENJOY!
